Who Are We and What Motivates Us

The shift from traditional venture investing to venture studios mirrors the early 2000s' move from waterfall to agile - a faster, more cost-efficient approach to tackling early, uncertain ideas.
Motivated by this, we founded Leap AI in the fall of 2023. We are combining our collective expertise and passion to apply the studio model to the intersection of Gen AI and biotech/healthcare innovation.
Our winning formula is based on a unique mix of talent and investments in our proprietary healthcare AI platforms and a rigorous process that enables us to manage all phases of venture creation and execution.

Intellectual Curiosity

We are a team of professionals with a blended mix of advanced degrees in science, technology and business. We pride ourselves in having an entrepreneurial mindset all driven by our intellectual and scientific curiosity.

Students of Innovation

We consider ourselves ‘students of innovation,’ having spent a significant part of our careers in product development, R&D, deep tech, and innovation in a wide variety of institutions, ranging from government labs, corporate R&D, innovation think tanks, digital software agencies, tech consulting, and startups. We are motivated by translating emerging science and deep tech into real outcomes that create a positive impact in the world.

Diverse Experience

Our collective experience gives us a unique vantage point in observing shifts in innovation paradigms and in managing innovation effectively, consistent with those emerging trends.

Venture Studio Model

We deeply believe in the studio model because it challenges existing venture creation models and has the potential to fundamentally change ‘the unit economics of venture creation,’ making it capital efficient and more impactful.
